RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PLUMBING ESTIMATOR

• Assess plumbing issues and identifies appropriate tools/materials required
• Evaluates clients’ scope of work along with any drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates
• Works in collaboration with Plumbing Installers, Service Plumbers, and other peers to ensure a successful client experience
• Manages the Plumbing Installation teams’ expectations through proper communications, both written and verbal
• Responsible for the accuracy of all components of the price book, including verifying correct labor hours are assigned to the proper tasks, labor rates are accurate, internal cost allocations, assumption, material, transportation, and any other services not performed by company
• Ensures any client concerns are handled immediately
• Properly tracks sales statistics, profit/loss margins, etc.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and adheres to company policies
• Communicates with office support and adheres to daily scheduling needs and timelines
• Completes appointments and estimates in a timely manner
• Works well independently without supervision
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness (inside and out) and escalates vehicle service maintenance needs in a timely manner to optimize vehicle’s safety, performance, and longevity
• Carries out special projects and/or other related duties, as assigned
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS OF A PLUMBING ESTIMATOR

• A minimum of three (3+) years of residential plumbing estimation experience
• Knowledge of California plumbing codes
• Must be able to work well with others/have good camaraderie skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have great attention to detail
• Ability to perform physically demanding work on a regular basis
• Must have a mechanical aptitude
• Must have the ability to work overtime, evenings and weekends as needed
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and have a valid CA driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A PLUMBING ESTIMATOR

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C driver’s license
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders
• Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 75 lbs (up to 150 lbs with assistance)
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes
• Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The starting salary for this opportunity ranges as its commission-based fully; the anticipated first year earnings average$60,000-$225,000.Other rewards may include incentive plan opportunities and annual bonus eligibility. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). A candidate’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position.
