Job summary

Feddon Mechanical LLC is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to lead commercial and industrial preconstruction efforts. You will drive bid accuracy through precise takeoffs, develop detailed cost estimates, and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive projects.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of estimating experience in plumbing/mechanical contracting, proficient FastPIPE and Excel skills, and the ability to read complex drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience specifically within commercial plumbing or mechanical contracting.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven proficiency in using industry-standard estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE) and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute precise quantity takeoffs for domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems to ensure bid accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients
• Formulate comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment using FastPIPE software.
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential scope gaps or coordination risks early.
• Negotiate and level subcontractor and vendor quotations to maintain competitive project pricing.
• Develop value engineering options and alternate material solutions to increase project profitability.
• Coordinate smooth project handoffs by communicating critical estimate assumptions to the operations team.
• Maintain organized historical cost data to refine and improve future estimating benchmarks.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $110,000 per year (plus Year-End Bonus).
• Location: Onsite (Pinellas Park, FL.).
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday.
• Project Scope: Plumbing (Commercial, Industrial, Government or Federal)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Associate degree or technical training in a construction-related field.
• Experience estimating for healthcare, educational, municipal, or high-security federal facilities.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial plumbing systems and specialized mechanical installation methods.
