Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Plumbing Engineer to contribute across plumbing system design, Revit modelling, and project coordination within a collaborative, BIM-centered team. You will work on developing detailed plumbing designs and equipment selections while coordinating across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years of plumbing design experience, with strong knowledge of codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Revit MEP families.
• Manage project files, model coordination, updates, and version control.
• Research code compliance requirements and applicable design standards.
• Participate in coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
• Prepare reports and support project documentation as required.

Engineers are given broad involvement across design, documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination, offering a good balance of technical and project based work.They’re looking for a Plumbing Engineer to join the team and contribute across plumbing system design, Revit modelling, and project coordination.

What you'll be doing:

Developing plumbing system designs, calculations, and equipment selections

Building and coordinating plumbing BIM models within multidisciplinary project teams

Setting up and managing Revit MEP projects using company standards and templates

Creating and maintaining Revit MEP families

Managing project files, model coordination, updates, and version control

Researching code compliance requirements and applicable design standards

Participating in coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants

Preparing reports and supporting project documentation as required

What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

5+ years of plumbing design experience

Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and industry standards

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

Experience developing and managing Revit MEP models

Strong communication and coordination skills

Organized approach with strong attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams
