Job summary

The Haskell Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a design professional with 5+ years in plumbing/MEP engineering to join our design team. You will apply knowledge of building systems, work with a Mechanical Engineer, and develop construction documents across multiple project types.

You will design piping layouts, interpret P&ID drawings, and coordinate with other disciplines while supporting field inspections and design package development through SD, DD, and CD phases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in design and drafting software for plumbing/MEP engineering purposes.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards in mechanical design.
• Ability to produce complete construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of building systems with Mechanical Engineer to meet codes and standards.
• Produce riser diagrams, flow diagrams, and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Design, lay out, and size piping for medical gas, natural gas, sanitary waste, and more.
• Create complete construction documents including cover sheets, plans, details and schedules.
• Coordinate across disciplines to minimize errors and omissions.
• Assist field inspections and provide timely solutions to field issues.
