Job summary

Placement By Design, Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer for a growing MEP firm located in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on producing code-compliant plumbing construction documents and coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other project disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Plumbing Design experience for commercial projects, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of building construction. USA project experience is required.

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Designer for a growing firm in their office in Fort Worth, TX to work on commercial building projects.

The firm is a well-established and growing MEP Consulting Engineering firm.

Essential Functions

• Produce coordinated, accurate, and code-compliant plumbing construction documents.
• Coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other project disciplines.
• Perform plumbing sizing calculations
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and existing conditions assessments, including field verification for renovation and addition projects.
• Assist with construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and addressing field issues.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Technical/Associate Degree
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Plumbing Design for commercial building projects
• Basic industry knowledge in building construction and design is recommended.
• Revit and AutoCAD drafting experience and knowledge on reading construction drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word) or related software.
• Excellent research and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
