Job summary

Bulldog Recruiters Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Engineer/Designer to work on a variety of projects, including data centers, education, healthcare, and labs.

You will size equipment, route pipes, and prepare final design documents while ensuring code compliance and client communication. The ideal candidate holds a four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree (or equivalent experience) and has at least 3 years in consulting engineering, with AutoCAD and Revit proficiency and strong communication

Qualifications

• Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years minimum experience in consulting engineering with plans and specifications.
• CPD a plus; CPE or NICET preferred a plus.
• Strong understanding of plumbing design and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing design/engineering for plumbing and fire protection across sectors.
• Equipment sizing/selection and pipe routing.
• Develop basic to complex plumbing systems including sanitary and vent, gas, and fire protection.
• Maintain building codes and changes; review plumbing documentation.
• Interact with clients, attend meetings, and create final design documents.

PLUMBING ENGINEER/DESIGNER
Our client is looking for a Plumbing Engineer/Designer to work on a variety of projects. If you are an experienced Plumbing Engineer or Designer, this may be the right opportunity for you! This firm does believe in work/life balance and shows their appreciation in a number of ways!

Responsibilities:

• Plumbing Design / Engineering for plumbing and fire protection in multiple market sectors such as Data Centers, Education, Healthcare, Labs and others
• Equipment sizing/selection and pipe routing
• Basic plumbing systems include but are not limited to: sanitary waste/vent system, grease waste/vent systems, acid waste/vent systems, primary/secondary roof drainage system, domestic cold water, central domestic hot water distribution systems, natural gas piping systems, compressed air systems, and fire protection systems.
• Maintain building codes and changes
• Interact with clients, attend client meetings, review plumbing documentation
• Create Final Design documents.

What You Need to Have:

• Graduate of a four year ABET accredited engineering program in an engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience
• 3 years minimum experience in the consulting engineering industry and experience developing plans and specifications
• CPD a plus
• CPE Preferred or NICET Certified a plus
• Thorough understanding of the principles of plumbing design and Fire Protection Systems
• AutoCAD experience
• Revit experience a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
