Job summary

SSR is seeking a Plumbing Design Intern to join our team. Gain real-world experience designing plumbing systems for healthcare, education, commercial, and entertainment facilities while collaborating with seasoned professionals on nationwide projects.

Requirements include pursuing Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, strong problem-solving and communication, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit. Housing allowance provided for interns not near an office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in the design of plumbing systems for healthcare, education, commercial, sports and entertainment projects.
• Participate in site visits, design meetings, and internal project reviews.
• Prepare calculations, diagrams, and technical documentation using Revit.
• Conduct research to support engineering decisions and code compliance.
• Collaborate across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) in a team-focused environment.
• Gain familiarity with industry codes and standards including IPC, UPC, NFPA, and ASPE.
