Job summary

SSR, a leading engineering design and planning firm, offers a Plumbing Design Intern role to gain real-world experience in plumbing systems design across healthcare, education, commercial, and entertainment projects. You’ll work with experienced professionals and contribute to project documentation and code compliance.

Minimum requirements include pursuing Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with strong problem-solving and communication skills; CAD tools like AutoCAD/Revit are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in the design of plumbing systems for facilities such as healthcare, education, commercial, and entertainment projects.
• Participate in site visits, design meetings, and internal project reviews.
• Prepare calculations, diagrams, and technical documentation using Revit.
• Conduct research to support engineering decisions and code compliance.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, civil disciplines in a team setting.
• Gain familiarity with IPC, UPC, NFPA, and ASPE codes.
