Nick’s Plumbing & Air Conditioning is looking to fill a Plumbing Associate/Assistant position within our company. Nick’s Plumbing has been doing business since 1979 in Houston Heights, and as we continue our growth in the local market, we’re looking to add some new faces to our team.

Responsibilities:

The chosen applicant(s) will accompany licensed and experienced plumbing technicians on any assigned residential or commercial service call. As the primary laborer on a job site, you’ll be doing a lot of manual excavation and assisting with loading/unloading of equipment and tools. Assisting the on-site crew leader with cutting, placing, and installing pipes for plumbing and/or natural gas lines, installing fittings, and other fixtures will be done under close supervision.

Other responsibilities may include stocking trucks with parts and equipment, assisting with warehouse inventory, and cleaning plumbing trucks and equipment.

All employees of Nick’s Plumbing & Air Conditioning are always expected to conduct themselves in a business-like manner when representing the company. Good communication, organizational and personal skills are a big plus, with a strong work ethic and zero fear of getting dirty.

Requirements:

Must have at least two years of prior experience with plumbing.

High School Diploma or GED

Must be currently registered as a Plumber’s Apprentice in TX.

Hold a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must be able to pass a standard background check.

Self-motivated, team players who take pride in their work, as well as their company.

Ability to work evenings and weekends when assigned.
