Job summary

PMEP is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to support licensed plumbers across construction projects. You will gain hands-on training in installation methods, tools, and safety practices while developing foundational plumbing skills.

Under supervision, you will assist with water supply and drainage installations, read basic drawings, lift equipment, and uphold safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and enrollment in an apprenticeship are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in plumbing apprenticeship program required.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or outdoor environments required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with installation of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Support installation of water supply lines and drainage systems.
• Measure, cut, and assemble piping systems and fittings.
• Assist with installation of water heaters, sinks, toilets, and other components.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites and stage materials.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and assist with material handling.
• Follow safety policies and plumbing code requirements and use PPE.
• Participate in plumbing apprenticeship training programs and read basic drawings.
