The Plumbing and Air, a Southern Home Services Company, is seeking a dynamic Plumbing Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential settings. You will learn to handle tools, assist with troubleshooting, and follow safety and code procedures while advancing your career in plumbing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Licensing: Ability to obtain apprentice licenses/permits as required by local/state regulations.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces.
• Math: Ability to perform basic measurements and conversions.
• Willingness: Strong desire to learn plumbing trades and follow instructions.
• Work habits: Reliable, punctual and able to maintain a regular schedule.
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Communication: Able to communicate with team, supervisors, and customers.
• Teamwork: Willingness to assist others and work as part of a crew.
• Driver's license: Valid license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Availability: Flexible hours, including weekends or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Locate and identify leaks.
• Repair or replace pipes and components.
• Select tools and equipment for each job.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for clients.
• Support the plumber to ensure code compliance.
• Clean the job site after completion.
• Address client queries.
• Follow plumber's orders and instructions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
