Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to gain hands-on experience with residential plumbing, installation, maintenance, and repair. You will learn to handle tools, assist with troubleshooting, and follow safety and code procedures.

Training is provided to develop your skills, with emphasis on reliability and a strong work ethic. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and a valid driver’s license. This is a non-exempt entry-level role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Willingness to learn plumbing trades and procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with regular schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Locate and identify leaks.
• Repair or replace pipes and components.
• Determine tools and equipment for each job.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for clients.
• Support plumber to ensure code compliance.
• Clean job site after work.
• Address client questions and follow instructions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
