Southern Home Services is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing trade, learning installation, maintenance, and repair of residential systems while working with a skilled team. You will learn to handle tools, assist with troubleshooting, and follow safety and code procedures.

A strong willingness to learn, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential; flexibility for weekends/overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Licensing: Ability to obtain apprentice plumbing licenses or permits as required.
• Physical Ability: Capable of physically demanding tasks.
• Basic Math Skills: Perform basic measurements and conversions.
• Willingness to Learn: Desire to develop plumbing skills.
• Work Ethic: Reliable and punctual with a regular schedule.
• Safety Awareness: Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communication Skills: Communicate with team and customers.
• Team Player: Work collaboratively to complete projects.
• Driver’s License: Valid license and reliable transportation.
• Work Availability: Flexibility for weekends/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Locate and identify leaks.
• Repair or replace pipes and components.
• Determine appropriate tools and equipment for each job.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for clients.
• Support the plumber to ensure code compliance.
• Clean the job site after work is completed.
• Address client queries and follow instructions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
