Job summary

ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing is offering a Plumbing Apprentice role designed for individuals starting out or with some experience. You’ll learn from experienced plumbers, participate in a variety of residential and commercial projects, and gain hands-on training with a clear path toward becoming a Journeyman Plumber.

Responsibilities include assisting with installation, repair, and maintenance; reading blueprints; operating plumbing tools; ensuring safety; and documenting work electronically.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong work ethic and be eager to learn the plumbing trade.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills; able to take accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Cut, assemble, and install piping while working safely around existing infrastructure.
• Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and plumbing plans.
• Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment including pipe cutters, wrenches, drain snakes, and hydro jetting gear.
• Assist with drain cleaning, troubleshooting, and plumbing repairs.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding work being performed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards; complete documentation using electronic devices.
• Continue developing technical knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship.

What You'll Do

As a Plumbing Apprentice, you'll work under the guidance of experienced plumbers while learning the trade and assisting with a variety of residential and commercial plumbing projects.

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
• Cut, assemble, and install piping while working safely around existing infrastructure
• Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and plumbing plans
• Safely operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, pipe wrenches, drain snakes, and hydro jetting equipment
• Assist with drain cleaning, troubleshooting, and plumbing repairs
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers regarding work being performed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Accurately complete timekeeping and required documentation using electronic devices
• Continue developing technical knowledge through hands-on training and mentorship

• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test prior to employment.
