Job summary

Power Design in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a plumbing apprentice to train under a licensed journeyman and help with multifamily and commercial installations. You will participate in an on-the-job training program to become a journeyman and may advance toward managerial roles on larger projects.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and a willingness to learn; OSHA 30 is preferred. Earn while you learn through an approved apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Motivated individuals who want to learn the mechanical trade and have a high school diploma or GED as well as reliable transportation.
• Successfully register, enroll, and participate in a mechanical apprenticeship program until completion.
• Able to physically perform the essential functions of the job.
• Willing to learn plumbing codes and other construction safety requirements.

• You’ll help perform multifamily and commercial plumbing installations.
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, assist in installing water supply and drainage systems, setting fixtures, and ensuring all plumbing meets code.
• Participate in an official apprenticeship program and attend classes as required.
• Competitive Salary: $18-32 / hour
