Job summary

Luihn VantEdge Partners, LLC is seeking a Plumbing Installer in Birmingham, Alabama to support commercial construction projects through installing plumbing systems. Responsibilities include assisting with the installation of various piping materials and ensuring proper setup on large scale projects. Candidates should have 3 years of experience and preferably a current apprentice license. The position offers competitive pay along with medical, vision, dental benefits and generous PTO.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred.
  • Current / valid apprentice license in applicable state.
  • Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of basic tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour preferred.
  • Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with commercial plumbing installation on large scale construction projects.
  • Install hangers and supports for pipes and fixtures.
  • Regular use of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Assist with the installation of various piping materials.
  • Work off ladders and man lifts at various heights.

Job description

In this position you will support commercial construction projects by installing plumbing systems and related materials.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with commercial plumbing installation from underground/rough‑ins, stack out to trim‑outs on large scale commercial and industrial construction projects such as healthcare, government, educational, manufacturing, data centers and others
  • Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation for water, gas, compressed air, medical gas, or other liquids
  • Regular use of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure
  • Assist with the installation of materials such as copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping
  • Duties could include setting grease traps, decontamination tanks, oil interceptors, lint interceptors, utility hookups, etc
  • Able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills Needed From The Ideal Candidate
  • 3 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred
  • Current / valid apprentice license in applicable state
  • Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawing
  • Knowledge of basic tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred
  • OSHA 10-hour preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform routine measurements and calculations. Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and decimals.
