Full Time Technician Anchor Plumbing, Helotes, TX, US

3 days ago Requisition ID: 1691

Anchor Plumbing is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Plumbing Advisor to join our team in the San Antonio, Texas area. This is a key revenue-driving position responsible for helping homeowners identify the best solutions for their plumbing needs while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate is more than just a salesperson—they are a plumbing expert, trusted advisor, skilled negotiator, and proven closer. You should have the technical knowledge to understand plumbing problems, the communication skills to explain solutions clearly, and the sales ability to confidently guide customers toward making informed decisions.

This position is commission-based and offers significant earning potential, with expected compensation of $100,000+ annually for a high-performing Plumbing Advisor. There is no artificial ceiling on what a top performer can earn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct professional in-home plumbing consultations and assess customer needs.
  • Diagnose and understand plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Present repair and replacement options clearly, professionally, and confidently.
  • Develop customized solutions based on the customer's needs, budget, and long-term goals.
  • Build trust and establish strong relationships with homeowners.
  • Prepare and present accurate proposals and estimates.
  • Negotiate with customers while protecting company margins and maximizing revenue.
  • Effectively overcome objections and close sales.
  • Follow up on estimates and opportunities to maximize conversion.
  • Identify additional plumbing opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach.
  • Work closely with Service Technicians, Installers, and the office team to ensure a seamless customer experience. Maintain accurate customer and sales information in company systems.
  • Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, closing, and customer-service goals.
  • Represent Anchor Plumbing with professionalism, integrity, and confidence at every customer interaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Extensive plumbing knowledge and experience.
  • A strong understanding of residential & commercial plumbing systems, repairs, replacements, and major plumbing projects.
  • Exceptional sales and closing skills.
  • Extremely strong negotiation skills.
  • A proven ability to sell high-ticket plumbing solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to explain complex plumbing problems in a way homeowners can easily understand.
  • Confidence presenting multiple options and recommending the best solution.
  • Strong objection-handling and relationship-building abilities.
  • A competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
This role may be right for you if:
  • You are someone who can walk into a customer's home, quickly establish credibility, identify the plumbing problem, and confidently explain why the recommended solution is the right solution.
  • You understand that successful sales are built on trust, knowledge, communication, and value—not pressure.
  • You are comfortable discussing projects ranging from routine repairs to major plumbing investments, including water heaters, water lines, sewer repairs, repipes, tunnels, water treatment systems, and other residential plumbing solutions.
  • You know how to negotiate, overcome objections, protect company profitability, and close the sale without compromising the customer relationship.

This is not a traditional sales position. We are looking for someone who understands plumbing at a high level and can combine that expertise with exceptional sales ability.
