Tenet Healthcare Corporation's Harper University Hospital in Detroit is seeking a Plumber - Plant Operations to inspect, install, repair and replace pipes, fixtures and piping systems across the facility.

The role requires reading blueprints, planning installations, maintaining heating, water, gas and drainage systems, and assisting maintenance staff as needed.

A valid Detroit/Michigan plumbing license or journeyman/master license is required, with 2–6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to six years progressively more responsible experience is required.
• City of Detroit plumbing license, or Master's license as plumber in the State of Michigan, or Michigan State Journeyman Plumber's license necessary.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain hospital systems (heating, water, gas, drainage).
• Installs new plumbing components; plans installation by studying blueprints and work sketches.
• Performs related tasks for maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection and installation of plumbing/piping systems and components; maintains inventory.
• May assist other maintenance personnel in performing repair and service functions.

Job Summary

Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of the hospital. Installs new plumbing system components, faucets, sinks, toilets, valves, etc.; plans installation by studying blueprints and work sketches.
