PLUMBER NON-LICENSED
Location: Facilities

Position: 12 months, 8 hours/day

Status: Non-Exempt

Closing Date: 12/31/2024

Starting Pay: $23.27 and up (depending on experience)

Essential Job Functions

Under the direction of the Plumber Crew Chief, this position is responsible for performing duties related to light new construction, routine and preventive interior and exterior plumbing maintenance across the district’s 33 buildings and grounds, and other duties as assigned by supervisors. May require occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and a high school graduate.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in facilities, maintenance, and/or plumbing fields.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work overtime if needed.
• Must possess and maintain a Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent with an excellent driving record.
• Able to prioritize duties and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to relate to a diverse population of students, staff, and contractors.
• Proficient with mechanical hand tools, sewer cleaning equipment, power tools, and plumbing tools.
• Proficient in soldering and brazing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Capable of working safely at heights over 20 feet and on rooftops.
• Able to lift and move items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must pass a thorough background check.
