Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Plumber to join the Wilmington Facilities team. The Plumber will assemble, install and repair pipes and fixtures supporting medical gas, steam, heating, cooling, pneumatic, water, sanitary and drainage systems to minimize utility interruptions.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining plumbing systems, troubleshooting leaks, reading blueprints, and collaborating with contractors to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Journeyman's Plumbing License or ability to obtain one within the first 90 days.

The Plumber's primary responsibility is to assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures supporting medical gas, steam, heating, cooling, pneumatic, water, sanitary and drainage systems, while maintaining these systems to minimize the risk of utility interruptions.

What You'll Do

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, piping, valves and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot leaks, clogged drains and other plumbing system issues.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Respond to Facilities emergencies and help minimize utility interruptions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents and plumbing schematics.
• Collaborate with Facilities colleagues, contractors and vendors to keep systems operating effectively.

What You'll Bring
