Position: Plumber Maintenance I - United States Army, Fort Meade

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the full range of master plumbing duties, including installing, repairing, and modifying water supply, sewage disposal, gas distribution, oil lines, fire suppression, and similar utility systems and equipment.
None exercised; receives supervision from the Operations and Maintenance Supervisor.
Work involves repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, often in hard-to-reach areas. Requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring positions. Must be able to lift and carry parts and equipment up to 40 pounds unassisted and over 40 pounds with assistance. Personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hard hats may be required.
Five to seven years of experience in installation or contracting in a related field. Must hold a Journeyman Plumber license. Ability to pass and maintain a government security background clearance. Working knowledge of MAXIMO or other CMMS software.
