An established industry player seeks a skilled Plumber for its Structural Unit within Facilities Management Services. This role involves performing plumbing repairs and maintenance in a modern hospital environment, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interpret blueprints and technical instructions, showcasing their expertise in using and maintaining plumbing tools. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to essential services in a highly active hospital setting, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care for veterans.
The employee serves as a Plumber in the Structural Unit of the Maintenance and Operation section within Facilities Management Services at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This facility is a modern, highly active hospital providing Medical, Surgical, Spinal Cord, Psychiatric, and Nursing Home services.
In addition to the hospital, support services are extended to outpatient clinics and Veterans Centers.

Experience: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must demonstrate evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties of this position. This must be supported by detailed descriptions on your resume. Applicants will be rated according to the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
Screen-out Element: Your qualifications will be initially evaluated against the prescribed screen-out element, typically question 1 in the online questionnaire. Applicants meeting at least the minimum qualification will be considered further; those who do not will be rated ineligible and eliminated. Experience includes paid and unpaid work, volunteer work, and service programs such as Peace Corps or AmeriCorps. Volunteer work can build relevant skills and provide valuable experience, which will be credited.
Note: A full year of work is considered 35-40 hours per week. Part-time experience will be credited proportionally. Applicants must clearly specify their duties, responsibilities, and hours per week for each position to receive credit for such experience.
