Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Plumber to join our facilities team. You will maintain, test, and repair life safety systems, potable water lines, piping, drains, steam and medical gas delivery systems, and assist other trades as needed.

You will also perform sprinkler tests, eye wash and emergency showers, and ensure timely completion of work orders and proper documentation. Applicants should be prepared to work on-site, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and coordinate with management to

Responsibilities

• Removes snow and ice.
• Maintains, tests, and repairs all life safety systems.
• IE sprinkler tests, eye wash, and emergency showers.
• Maintains, tests, repairs existing piping systems, drain, waste and vent systems, potable waters systems, steam, and medical gas delivery systems.
• Assists other trades as appropriate or assigned by management.
• Accurately requisitions materials, maintains files and records.
• Records time and material expended.
• Maintain a clean safe work environment, including storage and shop areas.
• Responsible for timely completion of work orders, preventative maintenance, logs, performance testing and other documentation.
