Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is hiring a Plumber Journeyman for facilities maintenance. This non-exempt position offers a competitive hiring range of $25.66–$46.20 per hour; final offer may vary by experience, skills and internal equity considerations.

The role requires MA Plumber Journeyman License, 3 years related experience, and an on-call rotation. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, 40 hours, on-site in Milford. A signing bonus may be available based on interview eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA Plumber Journeyman License.
• Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• On-call rotation required with this position.

• Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
• Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
• Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Cuts and threads pipe.
• Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of metals or nonmetals.
• Joins pipes by screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and caulks joints.

License/Certification/Education: Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

MA Plumber Journeyman License

Experience/Skills: Required: Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
