Job summary

American Leak Detection of Southern New Jersey and Delaware is seeking a motivated plumber/field technician to perform water monitoring system installs, slab and service line repairs, and pool/spa work across residential and commercial sites. You’ll work outdoors, wear a uniform, and use a company vehicle.

Applicants should be mechanically inclined, comfortable with power tools, swimming, and flexible hours including nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with experience using power tools.
• Driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to learn new technology and adapt to field conditions.
• Ability to swim and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends as customer needs.
• Capable of handling physical labor (lifting up to 100 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Perform installs of water monitoring systems and automatic shut-off devices on residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform slab and service line repairs for residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform full-scope pool and spa repairs, including spot repairs and reconstructions.
• Master underground leak locating equipment.
• Swim in pools for detection or repair services.
• Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers; provide professional courteous service.

Base Salary

• Starting ($30-$35hrly)

In the job you’ll be asked to do:

• Perform installs of water monitoring systems and automatic water shut off devices on residential and commercial buildings
• Perform slab and service line repairs for residential and commercial buildings
• Perform full scope pool and spa repairs. This includes but is not limited to; spot repairs, repipes, skimmer and wall fitting replacements, above and below ground repairs, manifold rebuilds
• Master underground leak locating equipment
• Swim in pools for detection or repair services
• Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers
• Provides professional courteous customer service
• Work outdoors & away from the office

Desired Qualifications

• Proficient in patch back of a variety of pool deck surfaces including exposed aggregate and kool deck
• Any plumbing, mechanical, pool experience and construction background is a big plus

• Current Driver’s License, with relatively clean driving record
• Ability to create well written and concise reports to effectively describe the leak issue or repair
• Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, self-starter, organized, and enjoys being self-directed
• Ability to swim, (diving certificate a plus)
• Neat appearance / Has a high standard of professionalism and character
• Mechanically inclined, knows how to use a variety of tools
• Ability to take on physical work and capable of moving/lifting up to 100 pounds
