Job summary

American Leak Detection is seeking motivated field technicians in Northern Nevada for plumbing installs and leak-detection work. You will learn leak detection while performing plumbing installs and repairs on residential and commercial properties.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, familiar with power tools, and able to work outdoors in various conditions, including swimming while performing detection or repair tasks. Flexible schedule and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Nevada-licensed plumber with spot repairs and new installs.
• Physically capable for outdoor work and lifting up to 100 lb.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform installs of water monitoring systems and automatic water shut off devices on residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform slab and service line repairs for residential and commercial buildings.
• Perform full-scope pool and spa repairs including spot repairs, repipes, and fittings.
• Master underground leak locating equipment.
• Swim in pools for detection or repair services.
• Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers; provide professional courteous service.
• Work outdoors and away from the office.

In the job you’ll be asked to do:

• Perform full scope pool and spa repairs. This includes but is not limited to; spot repairs, repipes, skimmer and wall fitting replacements, above and below ground repairs, manifold rebuilds
• Master underground leak locating equipment
• Swim in pools for detection or repair services
• Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers
• Provides professional courteous customer service
• Work outdoors & away from the office

Desired Qualifications

• Nevada Licensed Plumber with experience in spot repairs and new installs
• Enjoy being in a job that rewards intuitive, hardworking, fast, efficient, people who have no problem wearing uniform, and with a keen eye for detail
• Any plumbing, mechanical, pool experience and construction background is a big plus
• Exceptional team player; fun, energetic, goal oriented, positive, optimistic, and great attitude!
• Current Driver’s License, with relatively clean driving record
• Ability to create well written and concise reports to effectively describe the leak issue or repair
• Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, self-starter, organized, and enjoys being self-directed
• Ability to swim, (diving certificate a plus)
• Neat appearance / Has a high standard of professionalism and character
• Mechanically inclined, knows how to use a variety of tools
• Ability to take on physical work and capable of moving/lifting up to 100 pounds
