Job summary

Ayers Mechanical Group is hiring a skilled plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in homes and businesses. You will work safely and professionally with a customer-first mindset.

We offer competitive pay with a $25–$40 hourly range, uncapped commission potential, a sign-on bonus after 90 days, generous PTO, health benefits, and a 401(k) with company match. Lead plumbers may receive a work truck and other reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues.

Responsibilities

• Promote additional equipment or services when appropriate.
• Complete work orders, time logs, and inventory sheets accurately.

We're looking for a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in homes and businesses. You'll work safely, professionally, and with a customer-first mindset.

What You'll Do:

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures according to local codes and company standards
• Accurately test all systems and equipment to ensure everything is operating correctly before leaving the job site
• Educate customers on how their new systems work and answer any questions clearly and professionally
• Promote and recommend additional equipment or services when appropriate
• Complete all required documentation (work orders, time logs, inventory sheets, etc.) with accuracy
• Maintain tools, parts inventory, and company vehicle in safe and working condition
• Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and courtesy in every customer interaction
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Take on other duties as needed or assigned by managemen

• Competitive Pay: Starting pay between $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Commission: Uncapped commission of up to 5% of sales
• Sign-on Bonus: Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ years of plumbing experience or relevant training
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working with hand and power tools
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems a plus
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Continually required to stand, walk, sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
• Continually required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather).
• Continually works near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in high, precarious places.
• Occasionally works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
