Job summary

The State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Plumber II to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems at the journey level. You will work with power tools, thread pipes, solder copper, and manage material lists under supervision.

The role requires knowledge of commercial plumbing, safety codes, and may involve supervising semi-skilled offenders and emergency call-backs, with a 40-hour week and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in repair, replacement, or construction of piping systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of commercial plumbing installation and repair and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, alter, and repair plumbing systems and components at journey level.
• Use power tools, cut and thread pipe, solder copper pipe.
• Prepare material lists and coordinate with supervisor.
• Supervise semi-skilled male offenders and be on-call for emergencies.
