State of California in Monterey County, at the Correctional Training Facility Soledad, seeks a Plumber II (Correctional Facility). Under supervision, you will direct a crew of incarcerated persons to install, maintain, inspect and repair plumbing systems for water, gas, sewage, and Fire Control Systems.

$6,291.00 - $7,547.00 per Month
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades, the Plumber II, CF, is responsible for instructing, directing the work crew of incarcerated person to install, maintain, inspect and repair standard plumbing equipment concerned with water, gas, propane, sewage, and Fire Control System. Maintains order and supervises the conduct of incarcerated persons, prevents escape and injury to themselves or others or to state property, maintain security of working areas and work materials, inspects premises and searches incarcerated persons for contraband such as weapons or illegal drugs. Incarcerated persons will be supervised by staff at all times including movement to and from work areas.
Individuals who are eligibile for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
