Job summary

Service Experts is seeking a Plumber Level I to join our HVAC and Plumbing team in Raleigh, NC. You will perform installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems, while upholding plumbing codes and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has apprenticeship experience or a related background, proficiency reading blueprints, and strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Some evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plumbing apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience as Plumber Helper or Apprentice.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently or on a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues or defects.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for layouts and installations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and teammates on project requirements and timelines.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Carry out installations and repairs of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper function.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor junior plumbers and helpers.
• Keep accurate records of work and materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials and equipment.
