Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a skilled plumber to install, maintain and repair piping and facility systems in a hospital setting. The role offers a 7:00am-3:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, at Winter Haven Hospital.

The position requires 3 years of plumber experience and a high school diploma. Medical Gas Certification is preferred; travel to other BCHS facilities may be required, with a teamwork-oriented environment and opportunities to contribute to patient care

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years experience as a plumber.
• Preferred hospital maintenance experience.
• High School or equivalent required.
• Medical Gas Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs water, steam, condensate, pneumatic, fuel oil, natural gas, medical gases, fire main, soil drain and sewer piping, valves, pumps, traps, regulators, distribution infrastructure and fittings in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Performs preventive maintenance of facility equipment, primarily plumbing systems, per departmental, hospital and regulatory codes.
• Maintains facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various shifts and weekends to meet hospital needs; travel to BCHS facilities may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital – Winter Haven, Florida
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
• Days: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs water, steam, condensate, pneumatic, fuel oil, natural gas, medical gasses, fire main, soil drain and sewer piping, valves, pumps, traps, regulators, distribution infrastructure and fittings in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include plumbing and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
