Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for Winter Haven Hospital. The role focuses on the upkeep, operation, and repair of facilities, equipment and systems across the site, with potential equipment installation and travel to other BCHS locations as needed.

Required: high school diploma, 3 years of maintenance experience and a valid Florida driver's license; hospital experience is a plus.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical field education preferred.
• 3 years of maintenance experience required.
• Hospital experience preferred (2 years).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and repair facilities, equipment and systems across assigned sites.
• May install equipment as needed.
• Read blueprints/schematics to perform mechanical repairs and provide guidance on projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance for facility equipment across trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more.
• Travel to BCHS facilities as required and support weekend/shift needs.

Position Details

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital – Winter Haven, Florida
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
• Days: Monday – Friday / Every other Weekend

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities.
• May also be required to install equipment.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and perform general mechanical repairs. Responsible for providing indirect guidance to others and to provide project specific management to others.
• Responsible to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting,
• carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily
• within the craft lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
