KDMC Ashland Hospital Corporation is seeking a qualified plumbing technician to assemble, install, inspect, and repair piping systems for heating, water, and drainage within the facility. You will ensure safety, test for leaks, and maintain fixtures, contributing to reliable hospital operations.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training and an applicable state plumber's license, plus a driver’s license.
Responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems. Ensures proper functioning and safety of plumbing infrastructure. Inspects systems for leaks, defects, and compliance with regulations. Maintains accurate records of repairs and installations. Supports efficient operation and reliability of facility systems.
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in relevant area.
No work experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part‑time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Applicable state Plumber's license, Driver's license.
This position requires regular lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; regular standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent performance of tasks with repetitive motions (such as using tools); intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; intermittent work in confined spaces; intermittent exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, temperature extremes, and cuts or punctures. Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects over 50 pounds, working at heights above 4 feet, exposure to burns, bloodborne or airborne pathogens, loud noises, and job-related travel may also be required.
