King's Daughters is seeking an HVAC/Facilities Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler systems in a healthcare setting. You will ensure safe operation, assist with refrigerating systems, and support overall facility comfort and efficiency.
Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, generator inspection, and coordinating with other departments to meet operational needs.
Responsible for performing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler equipment. Installs and repairs industrial and commercial refrigerating systems. Ensures optimal operation and safety of all mechanical systems. Diagnoses issues and implements solutions to maintain facility comfort and efficiency. Coordinates with other departments to support operational needs.
High school diploma or equivalent experience
1-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
HVAC Journeyman license required, CFC Certificate, Driver's license
This position requires regular lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds; regular standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; and occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. Also involves intermittent exposure to risk or injury from moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials; working at heights above 4 feet and in confined spaces; repetitive motion; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and occasional burns.
