Job summary

Apache Workforce in Houston, TX is seeking a Plumber Helper to assist with water supply line assemblies, DWV work, and connections such as sinks and toilets, under the supervision of the Area Supervisor and Lead Man.

The role requires following drawings and instructions, maintaining quality, and supporting a safe, productive workspace. Pay is $17.50/hour, with a 40+ hour workweek (currently six days) and overtime paid after 40 hours. Lunch is 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills required.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing principles preferred.

• Assist with water supply line assemblies.

Job description

Location: Houston, TX 77017
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Workweek: 40+ hours per week; currently operating on a 6-day workweek
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours worked
Additional Hours: Occasional extended hours may be required
Lunch: 30-minute lunch break

Purpose of the Position

The Plumber Helper performs plumbing-related work under the direction of the Area Supervisor and/or Lead Man in the assigned department. Responsibilities include assisting with water supply line assemblies, DWV (Drain, Waste & Vent) line assemblies, and common plumbing connections such as sinks, toilets, and related fixtures.

The Plumber Helper will assist with production activities, follow drawings and work instructions, maintain quality standards, and support a safe and productive work environment.
