Location: Houston, TX 77017
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Workweek: Currently operating on a 6-day workweek
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours worked
Additional Hours: Occasional extended hours until approximately 7:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our manufacturing team in Houston, TX. The Plumber will perform plumbing work under the direction of an Area Supervisor and/or Lead Man within the assigned department.

The ideal candidate will have basic plumbing knowledge, strong attention to detail, good physical coordination, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble water supply lines and plumbing components.
• Complete common plumbing connections, including sinks, toilets, and related fixtures.
• Build products according to design specifications and technical drawings.
• Verify finished products meet quality and design requirements.
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout all assigned tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous plumbing experience or basic knowledge of plumbing systems preferred.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to follow simple and complex oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, miter saws, and rivet guns.
• Willingness and ability to participate in additional job-related training.
• Ability to cross-train and perform a variety of tasks across multiple departments.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work productively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Position requires standing approximately 100% of the workday.
• Must frequently bend, squat, lift, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Most work is performed indoors in a manufacturing/shop environment.
• The shop is not air-conditioned, and employees may be exposed to changing environmental and weather conditions.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks throughout the work shift is required.
• Moderate level of job-related stress.
