Job summary

United States Naval Academy is seeking a Plumber to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair plumbing systems in office buildings and other facilities in Annapolis. The role includes emergency responses, preventive maintenance, and documentation of work orders.

Required: GED or HS diploma, Journeyman/Master Plumbing license, WSSC certification; preferred Medical Gas and Backflow certifications. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and obtain security clearance. $38.75/hour.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• Journeyman/Master Plumbing license required.
• WSSC Certification required.
• Medical Gas Certification 6040 preferred.
• Backflow Certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a local background check and obtain security clearance after hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plumbing systems as required.
• Coordinate, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain plumbing equipment.
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls, including nights and weekends.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers and toilets.
• Document work performed on work orders and trouble tickets.
