Job summary

Stemmle Plumbing Repair is seeking a motivated Plumber’s Apprentice/Helper in Midlothian, VA. This hands-on role supports licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.

The position emphasizes dependability, a willingness to learn, and physical stamina for daily tasks. You will assist with rough-ins, fixture installs, and pipe repairs, measure and cut pipes, and transport tools to job sites while following safety procedures and PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior construction, mechanical, or plumbing experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (bending, squatting, crawling, lifting 25–50 lbs, working in confined spaces).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required if operating company vehicles).
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rough-ins, fixture installs, and pipe repairs
• Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings
• Excavate and lay water/sewer lines under supervision
• Stage and transport tools, parts, and equipment to job sites
• Keep work areas, vehicles, and tools clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
• Perform all other duties as assigned
