CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a skilled plumber to maintain plumbing systems across our healthcare facilities. The role focuses on repairing, installing, testing water and medical gas supply, and ensuring compliance with codes to support patient care and safety.

You will work a Monday–Friday day shift with an on-call rotation that provides additional compensation, participate in safety programs, and collaborate with staff and contractors on projects and inspections.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 4–5 years of related plumbing experience preferred.
  • Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Experience following codes and safety standards in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, test, and troubleshoot water and medical gas systems.
  • Install water systems, piping, and fixtures per blueprints and codes.
  • Maintain waste and vent lines using standard plumbing tools.
  • Assist staff and contractors on projects and equipment installs.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to staff on light plumbing maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with on-call rotation.
  • Follow HSE policies and participate in related programs.

About the Role

In this crucial position, you'll ensure the seamless functioning of plumbing systems across their facilities, directly contributing to patient care and operational excellence. Your expertise will be key to preventing disruptions, addressing issues promptly, and upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety where it matters most.

This rotation is structured to be fair and provides additional compensation for your commitment.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
  • Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
  • Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations.
  • Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
  • Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
  • Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
  • Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
  • Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
  • Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
