Job summary

LMH Health is seeking a qualified Plumber to maintain hospital water and waste systems, protect critical infrastructure, and support a safe, efficient environment for patients and staff.

The Plumber will perform repairs, read schematics, and ensure compliance with codes while supervising contractors and coordinating with facilities teams to maintain essential services.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal education as a plumber/pipefitter (or equivalent on-the-job training).
  • Minimum three years’ experience in maintenance and/or plumbing.
  • Preferred: Current plumber’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provides effective and responsible plumbing system repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain plumbing schematic drawings, service manuals, and operating manuals.
  • Inspection, performance testing, preventative maintenance and safety certification of hospital plumbing and gas systems.
  • Supervise plumber/pipefitter contractors to ensure standards and codes are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

Job Description

I.JOB SUMMARY

The Plumber performs plumbing duties required to ensure continuous and safe operation of hospital water and waste systems and equipment. This position maintains major plumbing components and fire protection systems. The Plumber works in conjunction with other maintenance and facilities staff.

II. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides effective and responsible plumbing system repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain plumbing schematic drawings, service manuals, and operating manuals.
  • Inspection, performance testing, preventative maintenance and safety certification of hospital plumbing and gas systems.
  • Supervise plumber/pipefitter contractors to ensure standards and codes are met.
