Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis is seeking an experienced licensed plumber to provide lead supervision on plumbing projects, interpret work orders, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Assembles and installs equipment as specified by manufacturer.
• Provides certification testing of backflow prevention devices.
• Tests and installs devices to meet regulatory codes.
• Submits certification tests to regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties to meet department goals.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Under supervision, assist in achieving department goals with fabrication/repair per sketches or specifications.

Under the general supervision of the maintenance supervisor, assist in achieving departmental goals, using hand and power tools to fabricate and repair items by sketches, diagrams or manufacture specification.

Shift: 1:00PM - 9:30PM (2nd Shift) Monday - Friday.

Minimum Education and/or Training

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience

Minimum of five years experience as a journeyman plumber.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

Required by SJCRH Only: Cross Connection Control Certification or Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification required within 12 months of employment. Journeyman license preferred.

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $24.50 - $40.50 per hour for the role of Plumber.
