Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate plumbing, HVAC, wastewater and potable water systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage and fixtures.
  • Read and follow blueprints and building plans; follow safety regulations.
  • Respond to and diagnose plumbing emergencies; perform routine inspections.
  • Keep accurate records of time, work description and materials used.
  • Collaborate with general contractors and other trades on projects.

NetCentric LLC, an ASRC Federal subsidiary, is currently looking for a Plumber to join our team in Fairbanks, AK.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties associated with the maintenance and operation of Plumbing, HVAC, Wastewater Treatment, Potable Water Treatment, Fire suppression equipment, and Oil-Fired Hydronic Boilers.
  • Responsible for water filtration and softening systems, obtaining water samples for testing on a periodic basis, and monitoring and reporting on potable and wastewater holding tanks.
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
  • Follow building plans and blueprints.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
  • Preform preventative inspections monthly.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Experience requirement: 7+ years or Journeyman level
