Job summary

Staffmark in Destin, FL is seeking a Plumber for direct hire. Pay rate is $25.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

This position offers a path to contribute to a growing team in a professional work environment. The role requires a Florida state plumbing license or documented military journeyman experience, plus Backflow Preventer Certification and ICC/Journeyman or Master certification; minimum 3 years in healthcare facilities; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• State plumbing license or documented military journeyman-level experience (DD214).
• ICC Journeyman or Master certification exam passed.
• Nationally recognized plumbing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for water, steam, waste, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Repair and maintain sinks, faucets, valves, drains, sewer lines, and restroom facilities.
• Service grease traps, oil/gas separators, and backflow preventers.
• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and manufacturer drawings.
• Order materials and replacement parts as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls as required.
• Train maintenance staff on plumbing practices and procedures.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and inspection reports.

Education Requirements

• State plumbing license required, or documented military journeyman-level experience (DD214)
• Evidence of passing the ICC Journeyman or Master certification exam
• Nationally recognized plumbing certification preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience in healthcare facilities
• Backflow Preventer Certification by the State of Florida required

• Knowledge of NFPA 99 healthcare facility systems preferred
