Job summary

Continental in Mount Vernon, WA, is seeking a PLT Curing Scrap Chaser responsible for monitoring non-conformities, performing mold/bladder changes, and ensuring production quality and safety.

The role requires following plant policies, operating forklift, and coordinating with tire room and other departments to implement adjustments. Evening/weekend shifts are likely; there are competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor non-conformities and coordinate quarantines with Tire room.
• Perform mold/bladder changes, install recipes, and maintain data input.
• Conduct audits (loader checks, squeeze, cure cycle, and temperature) and communicate results.
• Follow safety policies and operate forklift per Safety Department.
• Collaborate with set up techs, supervision, press operators, QA, and others to ensure quality production.

The PLT Plant IV Curing Scrap Chaser will:

Monitor all none conformities throughout the department and make adjustments as needed. Stay in communication with the Tire room of any non conforming materials that will need quarantined. Monitor and follow up with uniformity topics as needed and communicate back any adjustments that were performed. Monitor and Followup with Flash Audits and communicate back any adjustments that were performed.

1. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to make mold and bladder changes, install recipes, build and tear down bladders, and maintain data input.
2. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to make minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, perform loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits.
3. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser will follow all plant policies, environmental policies and plant and departmental safety policies. Must be certified to operate a Fork Life through the Safety Department.
4. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to effectively communicate with other set up techs, curing supervision, curing press operators, supplying departments, quality assurance, process engineering, and final finish.
5. PLT Curing Scrap Chaser will follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and aligned and orderly.
6. Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.
7. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613 a year.

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
• New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includesevenings and weekends.
• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
