Job summary

Amentum in Houston is seeking a Portable Life Support System (PLSS) Project Engineer to lead engineering efforts for EVA spacesuit systems, analysis, testing, and certification in support of NASA programs.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 2–5 years of related experience, strong teamwork, and deep knowledge of vent loop and PLSS concepts. Must be able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and drive design results.

• Detailed knowledge of PLSS design goals and vent loop concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform project engineering functions for EVA spacesuit design, development, procurement, manufacture, test, and certification.
• Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from customers and develop design solutions.
• Work with PLSS Team leadership to update plans and agreements for PLSS work scope.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and analyze PLSS hardware and testing configurations.
