With a strong reputation in civil engineering, surveying, planning, environmental services, and construction support, this organization is seeking a Survey Manager to lead and grow its surveying operations in South Carolina. The Survey Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading all aspects of a surveying and geomatics division, including multiple field crews, office personnel, and technical staff.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising survey operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and successful project delivery.
- Managing client relationships and serving as a key point of contact for public and private sector development projects.
- Administering contracts, overseeing project schedules, and coordinating resources to meet deadlines and financial objectives.
- Developing and executing business development initiatives, client pursuit strategies, and market growth plans.
- Reviewing survey deliverables, proposals, monthly billing, financial performance, and operational metrics.
- Mentoring and developing staff while promoting technical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across the team.
The Survey Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in South Carolina is required.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing surveying operations, preferably within residential and commercial land development.
- Strong technical expertise with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey computations, plat preparation, and field survey methodologies.
- Hands-on experience utilizing Trimble survey equipment, GPS technology, and survey data management platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, oversee budgets, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and business development skills.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
