Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a PLM data management specialist to support product development by organizing parts data in the PLM system. The role focuses on ensuring accurate part naming, descriptions, and reuse across Vermeer products.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent with at least three years in an engineering environment, and experience with SolidWorks and PLM systems. On-site work at Vermeer campus, occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent.
• Minimum three years in an engineering environment.
• Experience with mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLM systems and engineering data management.
• Ability to read data sheets, journals and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Implement parts management strategy within Vermeer’s PLM environment.
• Enforce part naming and description standards as SME.
• Maintain and improve part request and approval processes.
• Prepare CAD model setups for library parts.
• Consolidate part numbers and promote reuse.
• Collaborate with engineers during component selection.
• Support other groups needing specialized part libraries.
• Coordinate with procurement on sourcing and vendor selections.
• Provide training and support to promote PLM adoption.
• Participate in platform testing and evaluation.
