Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA seeks an Engineering Design Data Reviewer to join the EDMG within the Mechanical, Electrical & PLM Solutions Engineering Group. You will perform detailed reviews of drawings/models, manage engineering data release, and apply configuration and change management principles to ensure compliance with standards.

Public-facing responsibilities include facilitating release of vendor drawings, assisting engineers and designers, and developing guides for PLM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related work experience; Master's with 4+ years; PhD with 2+ years.
• Ability to work independently in a high-demand environment with team collaboration.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented review of drawings and models against requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to inform engineers of non-compliances.
• Understanding of engineering drawings format, drafting conventions, BOMs and revisions.
• Experience with configuration and change management and PLM/ICM systems.
• Familiarity with drawing types (detail, assembly, interface) and export controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews of drawings and models against institutional requirements on format and content.
• Process Engineering Change Orders against released drawings.
• Facilitate release of vendor drawings in JPL system.
• Communicate with customers regarding drawing format, numbers, and standards compliance.
• Develop customer guides on engineering release and PLM tool processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Info Systems / Electrical Engineering or related technical subject

Master's degree in related discipline
