Responsibilities

  • Support governance initiatives for Product, BOM, Part, Supplier, Customer, and Manufacturing data.

  • Help catalog data, manage metadata, data lineage, and business glossary.
  • Assist Data Stewards/Owners in critical data domains.
  • Gather and document requirements from multiple teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Service).
  • Map business processes across PLM and ERP systems; perform gap analysis.
  • Create dashboards and reports to support decisions; present findings.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst Intern to support strategic initiatives across Data Governance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) domains. Job Duties include:

Data Governance
  • Support governance initiatives involving Product, BOM, Part, Supplier, Customer, and Manufacturing data
  • Assist in defining and documenting data governance processes, policies, standards, and business rules
  • Support data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, and business glossary initiatives
  • Participate in data quality assessments and root cause analysis of data issues
  • Assist Data Stewards and Data Owners in maintaining critical business data domains
Business Analysis
  • Gather and document business requirements from Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service teams
  • Support mapping of business processes across PLM and ERP systems
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Support workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings
AI & Analytics
  • Analyze data flows between PLM, ERP, Data Warehouse, and Analytics platforms
  • Assist in identifying use cases for AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions
  • Support data preparation, profiling, and validation activities
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business decision-making
  • Analyze trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Evaluate data readiness for AI and analytics initiatives
Reporting & Documentation
  • Develop presentations and executive summaries for leadership teams
  • Create and maintain project documentation, process diagrams, and business reports
  • Support governance committees and project teams with meeting notes and action tracking
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Exposure to PLM and ERP systems and data model
  • Exposure to data governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Microsoft Purview
  • Familiarity with ETL, data integration, APIs, or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience creating dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or data analytics tools
Analytical Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into actionable insights
  • Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Base Pay Range: $24.00 - $32.00 Per Hour

Bachelor's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science or Related field
