Job summary

Rivian seeks student interns for its Spring Co-Op program in Palo Alto, offering hands-on work in automated CAD testing, AI-driven quality control, and PLM workflow modernization. Eligible candidates must be enrolled undergrad or graduate students in accredited programs with an expected graduation date between 2027 and 2029 and available full-time for the duration.

The role emphasizes C++ API work with Catia V6, autonomous AI agents, and full-stack support tooling. No visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science or a closely related computational field.
• C++ and CAD API experience with Catia V6 CAA RADE preferred.
• Experience with autonomous AI agents, LLMs, or reinforcement learning in automation.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• C++ API Integration: interact with Dassault Systèmes CATIA V6 APIs to extract geometric data and manipulate 3D assemblies.
• Agentic AI Implementation: design and deploy autonomous AI agents for exploring assemblies and prioritizing changes.
• Full-Stack Application Development: build backend infrastructure and internal tooling for AI-driven tests.
• Automated Regression Architecture: architect CI pipelines linking Catia V6 with AI testing framework.
• Intelligent Debugging & Analysis: analyze geometric failures and refine testing algorithms.
